Such a proud moment watching Winnie’s confidence grow as she completed laps around this course whilst saying to herself “I can do this”.

Sistabliss Tribe ‘Self-Care September’ Challenge

We have been through a lot this year. Lockdowns upon lockdowns, ever changing social distancing rules, terrible events on the news and maybe you or your family were struck down with covid somewhere along the way. That’s why Sistabliss Tribe is launching ‘Self-Care September’ as I talk all things self-care, something you are challenged to prioritise this month! To get involved, jump into the Sistabliss Tribe ‘Self-Care September’ Challenge.

Self-care means different things to different people. To me, it can be anything and everything that makes a person feel better, whatever that means specifically for them. It could be mental recuperation through meditating or professional therapy. Or it could be pampering yourself with face masks or even a spray tan.

Prepare for self-care!

This simple self-care challenge is designed to put you at the centre. Tailor your own challenge, thinking about what makes you feel physically and mentally better, whilst opening your mind to trying out some new practices. Maybe you have gotten into some bad habits which are no longer serving you, and it’s time to throw those out.

Download our Self-Care September Challenge PDF template.

The template provides space to write down and track:

  • 10 new practices to try out
  • 5 daily or weekly healthy habits to stick to
  • 1 epic challenge to complete throughout the entire month

Feel inspired

If you are new to this whole self-care thing, you might find yourself needing some inspiration. Have no fear! Sistabliss Tribe has been sharing tips and tricks for boosting your wellbeing through self-care for years now.

On the blog

Read our blog posts covering all things wellness for some inspiration such as, How Yoga Can Benefit Your Life, How to Talk About Mental Health This ‘Time To Talk’ Day and 10 Tips For A Good Nights Sleep.

Here’s one I made earlier…

Plus here are examples to give you some inspiration. Remember, self-care is about putting yourself at the centre. So be sure to fill your month with practices that will serve you and your wellbeing, not what might work for others.

Tips To Try

Choose 10 ideas to try at least once during the month. Such as:

  • Social media detox for a weekend
  • Take a spinning class
  • Go swimming in the sea
  • Get a professional facial
  • Go for a 10k walk
  • Try journalling
  • Take a yoga class
  • Try a pottery class
  • Try embroidery
  • Diffuse essential oils
  • Re-read your favourite book
  • Re-watch your favourite film
  • Eat plant based for a week
  • Get a massage
  • Have a home pamper evening
  • Have a no technology day
  • Visit a new place
  • Go on a nature hike

Healthy Habits

Choose 5 healthy habits you will follow every week. Such as:

  • Eat 10 fruits & veg a day
  • Drink 2l water a day
  • Eat plant based 3 days a week
  • Move your body 3 days a week
  • Meditate every morning
  • 5 minutes yoga before bed
  • No screen time for 1 hour before bed
  • Get 8 hours sleep a night
  • Follow skincare regime morning and night
  • Face mask twice a week
  • Dry body brush 3 times a week
  • Go to the gym 3 days a week
  • Take health supplements every morning
  • Say positive affirmations daily

Epic Challenges

Choose 1 epic one-month challenge to stick to. Such as:

  • Read 5 new books
  • Cut sugar
  • Cut alcohol
  • Walk 100 miles during the month
  • Try a new yoga pose every day
  • Meditate every day, increasing length each day
  • Swim in the ocean every day
  • Cut social media
  • Stop watching TV
  • Cut caffeine
  • Compliment someone every day
  • Eat plant based
  • Do a good deed every day
  • Walk 10,000 steps a day
  • Eat the alphabet of fruit/veg
  • Keep your home tidy

I like to try a mix of practices every month that support both my physical and mental health, covering all basis – such as nutrition, exercise, skincare, sleep, mental restoration and my relationships. Here is my example challenge:
